If I was to set this up again, I would have taken an observation of color of leaves, spots, # of small leaves, # of big leaves, status of stem and length of the vine on the set up day. When I did this I was not sure what observations I was going to make so I did not have all that information documented until I was able to do observations over time. Also, I don't think it matters if they make an observation every day they could probably do every two or three days. I would also have cards with different shades of green so that students can make an objective observation of what color green the leaves have. Also, it would be nice for the plants to all be the same length, even though I picked the same type of plant the vines were not all the same length.
